Motor Insurance - Breakdown Policy

This policy covers risks associated with car breakdowns, and covers costs associated with repairs.

Such costs may include towing, parts, labour, courtesy car and maybe overnight accommodation.

Although this type of protection is not manditory for all motorists, it is manditory for all motorway motorists.

Many Third Party & Comprehensive policies offer this protection as an optional (or occasionally a manditory) extra or it may be purchased seperately.

Although the risk is quite high, the compensation levels tend to be quite low. For this reason, policies tend to cost from about £70 to £150 per annum, depending on the level of cover offered.
