Credit rating - search & footprint data

This is a record of all the searches on your credit file in the past 2 years. Each search leaves a 'footprint' on the file.

As not all searchers are lenders, there will be an indication of the purpose of the search. Categories include, credit enquiry, address verification, enquiry agent, loss adjuster, insurance broker, general insurance, creditor insurance, travel insurance, credit file request, business insurance, direct insurance, health insurance, life insurance, personal vetting, debt collector and other CRA.

If there is a formal financial link between the consumer and others, the associated party's name will also appear on the file.

Formal links form in cases where there is evidence of joint credit agreements, or applications for joint agreements, in cases where parties were jointly sued etc.
